Guardians of the Built Environment | The Clarity of Design
Time & Location
About The Event
We are delighted to announce that Yorgo Lykouria will be our Thinking Out Loud guest speaker on Thursday 9th May 2019. He is an award winning architect, product designer, film maker and Creative Director of Rainlight; a design studio based in London and Los Angeles.
Yorgo will share his thinking on the clarity of design. He suggests, people often refer to good design as having a quality of simplicity. Yorgo states that as we all know simplicity itself, is not simple; and that a great deal of considered thought and refinement is given to arrive at something poignant and simple.
Yorgo’s philosophy is that with good design we are crafting an identity and a narrative; and is the mark we leave behind to represent our own times. A wordless expression that is translated through composition and form.

“More than just giving form, I focus on how the products we design can enhance the narrative of living in the present. I want to reintroduce moments of wonder and conscious reflection in everyday life. My process begins with an open mind.”
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our Studio on Thursday 9th May 2019.
