About The Event
We are very happy to share that Dr Ed Fitzgerald, an experienced medical doctor providing clinical and health system insights globally as part of KPMG's Global Healthcare Practice will be our speaker.
One of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, is health and wellbeing for all; and as demand and utilisation continues to rise globally, outstripping access and affordability in many areas of the world, we are at a tipping point as many health systems and providers look to fundamentally reshape how care is delivered.
Ageing populations, overtreatment, administrative burdens and a lack of transparency are all flagged as contributing to this potential crisis.
Yet healthcare is in fact only a small component of health, and our current healthcare systems are poorly designed to meet the needs of the future.
Ed will share his deep knowledge of global trends in healthcare practice from working in over 30 countries, sharing best-practice and innovations from emerging economies through to mature and established providers.
Ed will share examples and to help us understand what the future of healthcare delivery looks like, and how systems and providers will need to change to meet this challenge.
